Who We Are

Meet Walker Kowalchyk

Originally from Monticello, Florida, Walker received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 2019, earning a B.A., magna cum laude, in Philosophy—the study of arguments and the mother of the arts.

After completing his undergraduate degree, Walker went on to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to study law at the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in May 2023. While at the University of Alabama School of Law, Walker was trained in evidence and persuasion by the late Alabama courtroom legend Mr. Bob Prince. Under Coach Prince’s leadership, and with the help of his teammates, Walker represented the University of Alabama School of Law on its National Trial Advocacy Competition Team, helping his team win the Southeastern Regional Championship in the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition in 2022 and place as Southeastern runner-up in 2023.

Walker’s achievements in advocacy as a law student were recognized with multiple honors, including the George Peach Taylor Award (twice) and the 2022-2023 American College of Trial Lawyers Award, which is presented to the Alabama School of Law student showing the greatest promise as a trial lawyer. Walker was also a distinguished competitor in the Alabama School of Law’s intra-school Moot Court Competition. During law school, Walker was also a member of the Business Law Society, IP Law Society, and Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Walker also proudly served as Bible Study Chair, Secretary, and eventually President of the Christian Legal Society.

Legal Career

After law school, Walker worked as a clerk at a law firm in Montgomery, Alabama, before studying for and passing the Alabama State Bar Exam in the summer of 2023. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar by the Supreme Court of Alabama in September 2023 and is authorized to practice in all Alabama State and Federal Courts, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.

Before founding Kowalchyk Law, LLC, Walker worked at the same firm in Montgomery, Alabama, as an associate attorney, where he practiced primarily in complex litigation, administrative law, and civil appeals.
In the Summer of 2025, Walker studied and sat for the Florida Bar Exam and was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 2025. After taking the Florida Bar Exam, Walker founded Kowalchyk Law, LLC.

Walker now resides in Prattville, Alabama. Outside the office, he enjoys sports—especially college football—and, above all, spending time with his beautiful fiancée, Hannah, and their dog, Beans.
